The Park Hyatt Changsha is definitely my preferred hotel between this and the Grand Hyatt - though, of course, one must deal with the absence of a club lounge. Here are my impressions and photos:
Pros:
- Nice design and attractive room
- High floors, so great views
- Bed is comfortable - plush mattress, plush covers, plush pillows
- Shower pressure is good from both rainfall and wand
- Great financiers in welcome gift
- Offered 4 PM late checkout proactively
- Effectively attached to IFS Mall
- Decently comfortable living room couch
- Breakfast is generally good for my experiences in China - the croissants and bacon were great, pancakes were good (but I didn’t like that the chocolate sauce was Nutella), coffees are good (but could be more hot), eggs Benedict were okay (eggs were well poached but needed more salmon and better bread) - would order an omelet next time
Neutral:
- Only upgraded to Deluxe room (which could be a Junior suite at some hotels) - I did see Park Suites (standard) online on morning of arrival but did not ask at check-in
Cons:
- Some squeakiness in wood floor side as well as in bed frame
I would come back.
