For instance if I arrive at a hotel at 11 PM then check out at 7:30 AM, I get a "deal?" How does this benefit the hotel vs. their current pricing model?

Or if I arrive at 3 PM but check out at Noon, I assume I should pay "more" than the above quick sleep schedule?

Often times limited service properties do not have housekeeping staff on hand in the late afternoon/evening.

Plus there is the "room by the hour" stigma which could be viewed negatively by some people in some countries.

I could see a dynamic pricing model/charge by the hour type of model working wonderfully for a hotel directly attached (in terminal) of a large international airport.

I am trying to envision the scenario where a hotel could in theory rent a room to 2 different customers in a 24 hour period (vs. the current model that only rents to 1 customer in a 24 hour period).
This would turn the hotel into a rental car company or an airport parking lot.
