Unfortunately, I don’t know where Hyatt could send anyone moving forward. Grand Hyatt Playa Del Carmen was a possibility, but it’s now a Hilton. Other Hyatt properties are AI.

I suspect by November, most resort rooms will have been booked. Hyatt has done a shite job keeping guests informed with Mayakoba and GH Playa Del Carmen, waiting until the last minute, putting guests in a bind.

It will be interesting as I have seven Hyatt nights at the end of the year which could make a difference in Globalist status. If Hyatt pulls the rug out from underneath guests at the last minute, it won’t be just the Mayakoba resort stay and already booked plane tickets which are affected for me; it could also mean the difference in Globalist or not for the next year.

Hyatt hasn’t shown the best, good faith with guests recently regarding renovations and property changes. I hope I’m not being naive thinking it will work out.
