I have always gotten stay credit with FHR so my heart sank on reading this.

They're referring to the 8x Chase points that you'd normally earn for purchases through Chase Travel. If you book a stay with The Edit and you get the $250 Chase credit, you won't earn 8x Chase points per dollar on that $250. You should still earn Hyatt qualifying nights and points.
Some further clarification on this: they list out the credits that are applied on the reward point transaction. Then they apply 8X on the balance. Basically, they don't give you points on rewards on what they credit back.
As expected my Hyatt EQN and base points posted without issue. Full Glob benefits received.
