We've been well treated at LM, but the F&B experience there our last stay was absolutely abysmal. Probably the worst food I've ever had in Thailand.
Ah, it's for one night so distance does play a key role and google maps didn't really show much of a difference in travel times. Also, horrible food is the last thing I want to experience on my last night.

(and it's newer, more "modern" and as mentioned, closer to the airport)
Ah perfect. I love a resort vibe, but warmer pool wins out!

Spacious and meticulously clean rooms and a decent breakfast buffet as well. Interesting area to explore as well as previously mentioned. Will be staying there again in September for a week or two in preference to the SGS which in my opinion has gone downhill. Two free drinks as Titanium in the bar area (I was with a lady friend so if single occupancy I'm assuming it's one free drink - could be wrong). Overall, an excellent property.
I doubt I'll get a suite which is fine, but still it seems everyone likes this hotel!
Thanks everyone, Courtyard is booked. I am a Hyatt guy but the HR is clearly still a Novotel. If the Hyatt drops significantly in price I may just deal with it. For now, I'll take the warmer pool, better food options and closeness over the LM

It's also like $25 cheaper if I use cash. Points wise the same.
