I kind of get what you are saying. I used to be BA Bronze for a number of years, it would get me seat selection at 7 days before flying, business class check in (handy when flying with other oneworld Alliance airlines) but I would often be flying in business class with BA anyway, so I'd already get the lounge access, priority security/boarding etc.

I also used to fly premium economy a lot with BA too, so would use my Amex for lounge access in those circumstances.

With QR it's easier now that I've moved over and I am silver since I can get lounge access at LHR/DOH etc as well as the additional baggage allowance. Hence although QRPC Gold would be nice, it's probably not a 'must have' for my personal circumstances.
