Better solution is gifting status for a day. Have you looked into this? Go into your account and look for Engage with Miles. You should be able to gift her Platinum status for 8,000 miles. This will give her status on her day of travel (technically starting 3 days in advance and ending 2 days later) and then she will be able to bring in one kid and the 4 of you can chill...

I did this recently and it worked perfectly. Actually did Platinum Pro for a day so she could be OneWorld Emerald and access JAL First Class lounge all together, which also got her+1 into Flagship again in ORD.
For future readers, would it be possible to get a FFD pass for the day which is good for the holder and two guests? Would that grant you access to the FL even if there is no FFD at the location? And would it even work in JFK with no FL at all?
