For example, I don't care how nice LAX ever becomes but I get dirty looks when I tell my driver today's trip is through the LAX horseshoe. LAX is also the longest distance SoCal airport for me. Plentiful seats by the gate, lounges, and all that won't matter at all when assigned seating comes. I plan to come to the gate at around T-20 instead of T-40 today. I don't plan to sit in a seat at the gate or wait in any line. I don't need overhead bin space because I've shrunk to a Spirit/Frontier acceptable backpack as backup insurance for Southwest. So location is most important since I want to get dropped off by my driver as close to takeoff as possible.
