After my time at LHR, Sir. In 1964 I was an humble Civil ATC Assistant at the London ATCC ... a collection of Huts in the NW corner of the airfield by the Bath Road.
In 1965 I joined the RAF and became a proper ATCO! And in 1973/74 worked at LATCC West Drayton in the Joint Mil/Civ Ops Room ... where I did renew acquaintance with a couple of old colleagues from the old London Centre.
