I got chewed out by a cop for not pulling over and stopping when a fire engine was coming the other way with lights flashing. The road was wide and there were no other vehicles so, not knowing that law, I kept going. There must've been eight feet between me and the fire engine as it passed. I played the dumb foreigner card and got away with it, although I was referred to as a "dumbass Limey punk" several times.
