And for many but possibly not all, a single SP30 offense with an otherwise good driving record is usually disregarded by insurers or doesn't significantly increase premiums.
yeah 3 points was a small increase (or occasionally a reduction in premium- based on the actuarial thought that people who’d been caught recently would drive more carefully going forward), 6 points onwards was…problematic
