BUT if you are Elite and qualify as Elite Plus - upon Elite Plus qualification they will just deduct 80.000 status miles - the surplus is secured - so when you are Elite, have 79.000 miles now and fly a segment that earns 10.000 miles you will start Elite Plus with 9000 status miles.
I've never flown TK or credited to M+S before, but obviously I'll be elite prior to flying the above XXX-IST-YYY. It's great news that the excess will count towards my requalification, thank you.
