Wow, tough crowd! The previous flight had also been cancelled because of the serious fire in Marseille and so a larger 321 plane had been put on to accommodate the two flights. So I thought/think that to cancel a flight at 1720 (or that’s when the call came through to the BA lounge to tell them it was cancelled) and make arrangements for c200 people to immediately get back landside at Heathrow, quickly get the hold bags from wherever they were and delivered to arrivals baggage claim, and arrange rebooking and hotels was applaudable. And I certainly appreciated it 70 odd minutes later when watching the news report of the fire at the hotel.

Although, the new flight this morning is now also delayed!
