Hotel owners have been satisfied with the hotel business profitability, that is higher than the one in the office buildings, but they obviously expect more taken into consideration their growth plans.

On my end, I enjoy Bangkok and Thailand much more with less visitors. I don't see the Better Future part, that companies do, if Bangkok is more crowded - we definitely do not play in the same team on that vision.

Hopefully, the old residence for the Ambassador of the Netherland on Witthayu will remain as is, with its park, instead of becoming another residence building or a hotel. Bangkok needs more green areas, not less - let the little moving air left go through.

This seems to be more the thinking of Thai hotel owners rather than a Marriott thing: keep the prices high as that gives the false sense of luxury and exclusivity, rather than demand, so someone will pay it. I mean, I am this month lol. That said, they are being very generous with upgrades to Platinums and above, it appears. Heck, as a lowly Hyatt Discoverist I got a 3 category upgrade at the Regency (cheated on Bonvoy for a few nights last week...)!
