As a follow up, my use of the code was successful. There was a long line of renters and the staff just wanted to get through everyone as soon as possible. I was prepared with a story that I work remotely and have no formal ID and won an employee contest where the prize was a trip to this resort but I did not need it. I also did not decline the LDW or say anything when the agent said it was included.
