As a further update to this I think I've managed to resolve it by resetting my password.
Although now I can't view two work travel agent (CWT) booked trips even though they appear in "Your upcoming trips". When I click on them I get a "500: Internal Server Error" message. I can still manage those bookings if I am signed out and enter the booking reference into MMB.
Hopefully to close this slightly long-running saga, I can now access those CWT-booked trips without having to sign out. Not sure what happened.
