Sorry, it's not impossible to drive at 30mph, or 20mph, if you are used to doing it. I do it most days without needing to refer to speedo frequently.

What I would cut you some slack on is that it's not as easy to do in a vehicle you're unfamiliar with, and with speed limits you're unfamiliar with (over in America you would typically have 25, 35, 45 etc).

But these are the laws of our land. And good luck if you go to Wales because most of what was 30mph is now 20mph countrywide. ​​​​​​We have much more camera based enforcement.

There are other aspects of life and laws that are different between the UK and America that might be better or worse, but there's no need to slag off our laws just because you got a speeding ticket.
