I don’t want to haul my suitcase around all day in 30+ degrees heat and have the chocolate inside melt, but as far as I can see, I can’t drop it off at the airport that early. Leaving it at my hotel is also not a viable option, as it’s clear across town, and I depend on public transportation. It would be a faff. Presumably I can just go into the Hilton and pretend I just checked out? Or does anyone have a better suggestion? Much appreciated!

But given tomorrow's temperatures, once you check in your suitcase at Logan, I would not count on those chocolates remaining in good condition. Can you remove them from the suitcase when you get to the airport, and carry them onboard?
I recently used bounce for the first time in NYC and it worked very well.

But you also can go to most hotels, go to the bellman and tell him/her that you want to check a bag. No reason to to lie about having checked out; they may assume that you just checked out of the hotel, but most won't even ask. Most will be expecting a tip for the service -- $5 for a single bag seems reasonable -- but most are happy to do it. If this interests you, I wouldn't bother going all the way to the airport Hilton. Just find a hotel closer to where you intend to end your day,
