Sorry, but what is chickie? Chickpea? Or some form of chicken, such as grilled chicken breast strips? Maybe chicken salad with mayo?

Doesn't D1 still have the soup, at least for international dinner flights?

I still remember a domestic coach DL breakfast from about 1980 when I had a smallish hot waffle with a hot peach half on top.

course by course:
Shrimp cocktail
Chef salad
Rib eye steak ( the other choices weee duck or trout)
Sundae cart
This was in a DC-10 where the center seats swiveled to make a tables for 4

NW world business class had some elaborate meals as well and CO BusinessFirst was generally elaborate and excellent
In about 2000, transcon FC on CO had rack of lamb carved from a cart at one's seat. Really good wine too, French white Burgundy or French red cab from one of the Bordeaux AOCs.

I miss the creative good and big PMNW WBC salads.
