I just took FAO-EWR yesterday and my flight was completely full BUT I booked 3 J seats 2 days before the flight for 90k United Miles each after realizing this flight existed and realizing I could avoid a connection. The Y seats were going out for ~35k with widespread saver availability basically everyday in the following week until the day before the flight.

Interestingly there were 2 seats in J that were empty since they were inoperable so the plane was in terrible shape (few passengers were vocally pissed due to downgrades) which makes me confused why saver J availability was available. Seeing 1 seat also booked for pilots but left empty with the downgrades did not ease the tension.

So there’s definitely demand but not sure about yields - the route is definitely convenient but looks an easy upgrade.
