You can't put a baby that can't sit in one of those 20€ strollers (not good for their backs). We had our baby carriage for that so we had our hands free when we flew with them.

Otherwise an umbrella style stroller should get your baby all the way to the gate and get it gate checked so that there's a high chance you will get it back.
