Where a few people complain that they dislike these planes, I'm a fan given how large the leg room is vs. other Delta One products on planes like the 767s, A330s and A340s. Though they are not as nice as the standard Delta A350s, they are superior to many other products and I won't complain very loudly. You also benefit from using Global Upgrades directly from Comfort vs. Premium Select. Enjoy.
You don't have to buy C+ to go to D1 with a GUC in this scenario - you can go straight from Main Cabin to Delta One (the same applies if using a GUC to PS or domestic F; you don't have to buy C+ there either).

Side note, seeing the post count of 1, I'd say "Welcome to FT" but then I saw your join date of 2012. Quite the wait to make a first post!

there’s no privacy divider at all between the two seats, so every movement and action can be viewed by the person seated next to you. That was a very unpleasant surprise on a recent Delta A330 flight.
I don't mind the A330-200/300 D1 seat. IMO it's one of the better seats in the DL fleet in part because of the more open footwell compared to other designs.
