Thanks, as a natural gold with work and leisure under the old system until covid, the double tp offer and reduced thresholds (and depressed flight prices in 2021/2022) enabled us both to become bucket and spade GGLs. What with GUFgate and the fantastic opportunities from GUFs, jokers, companion vouchers and barclays vouchers it has meant Mrs. F and I travel the world for a lot less than most people think, without convoluted tier point runs. Upcoming we have 2 LHR to MLE in first in high season for £2K, GIG for a long weekend in business for £1k, Mykonos over the august bank holiday. Family and friends have been showered with partner cards to the extent that with an upcoming avios booking with seven family members I won't need to guest anyone in the party through the first wing.

That will all come to an end in April 2028 or 2029 depending on whether my GGL will soft land to gold or silver; we've had a very good run with BA and are not complaining and 2029 is really quite a way away.
