Like most older people I have several chronic conditions which require medication. I always travel with a doctor’s letter listing the meds as prescribed. I also get rid of the bulky boxes and travel with the pills in their blister cards bound by elastic bands. (In Germany where I live, pharmacies don’t repackage medications with your name on them. They’re simply given out in their factory packaging.)
Since I’m often in Thailand for two or three months at a time, I bring the quantity of meds I need for the expected length of my trip. None of them are controlled substances. Never once in 25 years has Thai customs inspected my meds.
