One more question- we're going to make a trip from the Conrad to/from Sultanahmet for sightseeing, and I know the Conrad isn't the best positioned for that. I had a bad taxi experience the last time I was in Istanbul- is there a public transit option that makes sense? My online searching makes it look like the nearest tram stop is quite a walk (we're a family of, and not everyone likes to walk as much as I do). The ferry from Besiktas to Eminonu seems like it could be fun, but if I'm reading the schedules correctly, it doesn't run that often and the timings may not work out. Any suggestions, or should we just bite the bullet and take a taxi?
