The gardens at Ashford Castle on the lake are, as expected, beautiful.















There is also a walled garden.




You can take a boat trip across the lake and visit an island. The weather was a bit unsettled and we had other things to do, so a trip at 2 p.m. would have taken up almost the whole day. The trips are also relatively expensive (€25 or €35) when you consider the size of the boat, which is packed full.
