That's because this hotel is literally the current crown jewel obsessive hotness in the award points travel blog/tiktok/social media/credit card shill/Internet world that drives a singular focus on using points and staying here. No normal human is spending 2k here and thinking it's worth it, and certainly very few Japanese are dropping 300,000¥ a night.
Swim trunks. At the PHK...or at any onsen. Oh brother.
