on IRROPS i think CX does far better than Eva cuz of frequency. SQ out of SEA is not daily but if it came to worst case both CX and SQ serves LAX and SFO well to get you going.

also check connection time for EVA - i once pondered BNE-YVR and Eva via TPE had good fare but involved 10hr+ connecting time so i laughed and moved on.
Spending less time on a plane is nice but these flights come at a greater hard dollar cost that may be worth it. Should the prices come down on these, this is the way I will go.
