Ive not had an overnight cancellation before where I’ve needed a hotel (lucky I guess!). Does anyone know how much BA will pay for a hotel, taxis, dinner etc? I booked the Intercontinental near the airport which is pretty expensive but it’s got a nice pool so I’m happy to chip in a bit myself. It was an Avios booking for my wife and I (I’m gold, she’s silver if that helps). Thanks
BA have a guide of £200 but it’s rare they challenge this, especially as not always possible. Just get receipts for any expenses you incur for accommodation, food etc. and put them in to BA. Offering to pay part or not claiming the amount on the receipt will likely just delay your claim. Note they don’t normally pay for alcohol. But again in my view I would just put everything in if all on one dinner receipt etc. Hope you get moving tomorrow.
