Apologies if this isn't the correct thread. I had an AS J award on AA metal YVR-LAX. AA cancelled the flight and I was rebooked through ORD which isn't going to work.
Before I get on the phone with AS, I'm wondering what options I should have in this situation? J seat on AS metal at the same AA saver rate? Can AS ask AA to open space on the same flight on the previous day?
Did you try to manage the booking on aa.com using the AA PNR provided? It might allow you to make changes to other AA flights for free. If not, try calling AA, they are very flexible with cash bookings in case of these kind of issues. Caveat is that this is a 3rd party booking, no idea what their policy is on changing those in case of flight changes.
