It could well be, it make sense to be airside as you have more time to spend there before getting to your gate (it was even better for us flying BA, as teh AA lounge we had access to is really poor, and after checking it out last year after going through security, this year we did not bother and left the Centurion Lounge quite late, going straight to the nearby gate.
That entire airport needs replaced but the last president stopped the construction. Now they just keep putting bandaids on everything there. I'm probably the only one who likes Aeromexico lounges. I actually hate Centurion lounges especially in Terminal 1. They look like dungeons.😁
