So now they are enforcing it. Mexican residents (permanent or temporary are exempt).
Nothing really new, but I bet that the government is going to ding airlines that don't comply. I've been asked for proof of onward travel more than once, and from more than one country, even being called at the gate. I would expect this to occur on an increasing basis worldwide for reasons that are suitable for another FT forum.
