The Hyatt Regency Xi’an was my first stop on my first visit to Xi’an - by my experiences in China, I thought this was a good hotel. Here are my impressions and photos:
Pros:
- Upgraded to a Regency Suite before arrival
- Nice design - warm and comfortable colors
- Bed was comfortable - medium slightly firm mattress, covers of fine plushness for climate, plush pillows
- Shower pressure was good - wand stronger than rainfall
- Friendly service
- Offered 4 PM late checkout proactively
- Breakfast (only offered in restaurant) was good - I enjoyed my omelet, hashbrown, and stuffed beef pancake - I also liked the barista coffee (nice surprise)
- Walkable to Hanyao Metro station on Line 8
- Effective washlet on the toilet
Neutral:
- I wasn’t a fan of the evening service in the lounge - coffee machine tried to make a cappuccino with water - desserts all had odd flavor profiles (sorry I didn’t get a picture) - papadams were good, though
Cons:
I would come back.
