Comments: The renovated rooms are an improvement over the previously existing ones, and the ocean view from Ainahau Tower was impressive. A wonderful location in the center of Waikiki Beach, at a reasonable price, makes it ideal for budget travelers. Except for the Platinum breakfast, I did not try the Splash Bar, so I cannot vouch for the quality of their cocktails and other non-breakfast food items, but the Platinum breakfast was abysmal, with poor-quality baked goods and hard, unripe melons served in the fruit dish. The Platinum breakfasts at the Moana Surfrider and Royal Hawaiian are several times better.
