correct. you can redeem chase points at 1cpp on their travel portal. certain hotels and flights are boosted up to 2x, which means it is up to 2cpp. so if the flight/hotel is $500 and the boost is 2x, then you only need 25k chase points for the redemption. you do have to note the limitations (this article gives a good overview), and it is quite new so subjected to changes

Using the most expensive example - the CSR. I would not likely use The Edit or the dining credit, but would easily use the $300 travel credit, $300 StubHub, $250 Apple TV and $120 Lyft, without changing any spending habits and very little effort. That's $970 in value on the $795 AF, plus lounge access.

This obviously contrasts with the VX, having a rather low AF but only a $300 travel credit in material return on a $395 AF. This card requires spend to recoup the value.
it depends on your spending habits or use case. when the credits match your spending habits or some cobranded cards, e.g. hyatt card with $95 AF but has a cat 1- 4 free night or aeroplan card with $95 AF but gives 10% bonus when transferring chase points to AC miles( capped at 25k bonus points)
