If I had to guess, the no annual fee card would convert to the MileUp card. The Red would convert to the AAdvantage Platinum Select card. I don't know about the Blue or Silver since there aren't equivalent Citi products. It's possible that they'd offer options of changing from the Blue to the MileUp or AAdvantage Platinum Select cards and from the Silver to either the AAdvantage Platinum Select or AAdvantage Executive cards.
I tend to agree - my only thought would be maybe Citi would offer a new card - call it Platinum Plus, Plat Pro Select, or some similar and offer some extra benefits to the Plat card for a $200 AF version versus the $100 AF for Plat. Then they would have a match to status - Gold, Plat, Plat Pro, Exec Plat. I still have the old Gold card, $50 AF. MileUp is new.
