Frontier has one nonstop flight per day between SFO and LAX. The problem is that it's not at a consistent time, let alone a useful time. Once in a while the schedule aligns with my needs, but then a month later it's way off. I wonder why they keep modifying the times for these flights. I suppose they are an afterthought, almost like repositioning flights after the long-haul schedule is established.
In the exact same boat with this route. I'd like to try it, but the time is ever changing and is usually right in the middle of the day. They also tried BUR-SFO with similar issues. I also fear that they'll just randomly drop the rote after publishing the schedule. Frontier and Spirit just aren't effectively targeting WN's bread and butter business travelers, and key to making money on routes like this is capturing some of the business mix. I get that they're often blocked on company booking portals, but I think self-funding business travelers would consider them if convenient. Instead they are just looking at discretionary travelers who don't travel the route more than once and don't care about schedule as much as destination and price. Good luck to them making money on this kind of stuff.
