Do you remember it being said, they were trying to find a spare crew as existing personnel were out of hours ?
We were delayed by over 2 hours because of them being late for their shift.
May this point they would have known about the storms to get extra fuel and we should have been able to fly.
a flight had gone to London shortly before us.
it was due to us then needing to add more fuel and going over their shift that cancelled the flight.
they came over the speaker and said they had been in contact with BA to source replacement crew so we could still fly.
planes were taking off constantly while we were waiting so the whole extra fuel thing was within their control.
they should not be able to arrive very late which causes such a short window for air traffic control and then blame air traffic control?
