I disagree with UK being a rip off. Ok, so fares out if Lisbon on BA are cheaper, but thats hardly surprising since there is a need to fly via the UK rather than be able to fly directly to the destination.

Look at a lot of fares available out of the UK; Ihave managed to get Business class returns from Uk to Australia for around £2k which is pretty decent. N class return to Sydney is around with BA/QF at £470+tax. Hardly rip off fares
