Are seat assignments meaningless?
For the third time in the last 10 days QF has changed my seat on me with less than 24 hrs until departure with no explanation or reason.
Firstly: moved from 01C to 07D on a DH8-200. And no it wasn’t weight and balance because they seated someone else in my 01C. This happened about two hours prior to departure and was notified in the app.
Then moved from 01B to 14D on a DH8-400. 01B was full with a passenger of size (not sure they were actually exit appropriate as they took up both seats) and again notified by app 15 min prior to boarding.
Then just now lost my 2A on an E190 tomorrow for 03F. Someone else is now in 2A with all the A seats gone.
Question is: who trumps an emerald to the point they’ll boot you from a pre-assigned seat? I’ve literally never had such issues with any other airline.
