I just tried to claim the BRG for a booking at the Holiday Inn Express Sydney Airport as Trivago is offering a 15% lower rate. Same room, same dates, same everything.
This was denied because Trivago's terms state that it may take up to 30 minutes to process a confirmation email whereas IHG considers "instant" confirmation to be 15 minutes.
This is the most ridiculous excuse i've ever heard to reject a BRG claim. Sounds like they are inventing new rules
