Same booking from Australia. Given that you really DO want those coverages it works out fine IME. (Australian Credit cards do NOT provide any rental car cover, unlike US cards, and I suspect your Euro CC's are the same...)

My bookings in the US usually DO have a deductible but that is covered by my normal Travel Insurance (which is mostly a must for Medical but comes with various other useful coverages)

Beware of sneaky upsell attempts. If you KNOW you have CDW/SLI and TI to cover any excess/deductible don't let them scare you into pricey last minute add ons.
