Thanks for the reply. I thought about going through the reimbursement route but having read feedback on Kenya Airways CS here, it sounds way too risky.

I've called China Eastern (MU) and use the chat function multiple times, they can't do anything and I kind of believe them:
- the seat map is not loading on the MU website with a CLEAR message to contact KLM
- After talking to CS, I will get the boarding pass from MU only for the KMG-PVG leg and I'll have to pick up luggage/go to the KLM check-in counter for the PVG-AMS leg

This is one of the feedback I got from them "Because the flight is actually carried by Royal Dutch Airlines, China Eastern Airlines can only be responsible for booking and rescheduling. Some additional services cannot be handled by China Eastern Airlines, and the notification of KLM shall prevail"

I've added my frequent flyer # since day 1 on MU/KLM website but it seems it's not properly recognized. There are two fields (one with the frequent flyer program name, one with the frequent flyer number) and only the second field remain - the first one is blanked out.

After sharing all these details/screenshots/proofs to KLM for a week, they keep saying they can not do anything and I will have to wait until check-in...
