Also great to see that it was not an empty promise. Not that I expected an empty promise from him/FlyingBlue as I think the programme has overall developed in a positive way over the past years, but I’m sure Ben will understand that many other FFPs promise the moon to their most loyal customers (*cough* BA *cough*), only to then shoot a couple of nukes at it and laugh in their faces, so a healthy dose of scepticism is always warranted
I've been flying with FB for well over a decade at this point now, and I have to say that for the most part, the program developments have been positive. Yes, in this world of shrinkflation and entshitification it is natural that the competitive market around you moves in ways you need to react to, but with the market conditions available, FB has definitely been doing pretty well overall. I know that not everyone will agree with this sentiment in particular, but I also find that FB and AFKL teams seem to take feedback very well and react to it well (albeit at the pace one does expect of a large organization like AFKL). I know there are better programs for some people out there, but being based in Europe, FB really strikes a good balance.

So yes, really well done Ben Lipsey and team for not only finding ways to attract that valuable credit card spend revenue, but also finding ways to reward your loyal flying customers.
