Need input from Hyatt Tokyo experts. I am a Globalist and have an upcoming 4 night stay in Tokyo for 2 adults and 2 late teens. So, I am looking to book a Hyatt for 4 persons which is very difficult and some properties are not available for a party of 4.
  1. Booked two rooms in HR for 17k each for 4 nights. One room upgraded with a SUA (Atrium). Since the Atrium suite has a max occupancy of 2 adults, I booked another King room for 17k and applied a Club Access Award. 4x2x17 = 136k points for 4 nights
  2. Boked a standard suite at Hyatt House Shibuya that accommdates 4 persons at 29k each night for 3 nights. The fourth night was not available for points ($957 cash rate). So I have to book somewhere else for the fourth night. 3x29 = 87k points for 3 nights
  • HR Pros: 4 night stay, large suite, globalist breakfast, evening hors d'oeuvre, all day regency lounge access.
  • HR Cons: Dated property, may not get renovated rooms, party stays in 2 rooms, Shinjuku station is a bit far.
  • HH Pros: Everyone stays together in the same suite, modern, close to Shibuya station, shops nearby, (in room W/D is not a big draw for me)
  • HH Cons: Only 3 nights (have to look for another hotel for 4th night), no globalist benefits, ok breakfast
Family prefers to stay in a busy area with easy in/out of the hotel. I have to cancel one of them. Which one should I keep? Thanks.
