Ben Lipsey had previously confirmed here on Flyertalk that his team was implementing this. This is indeed a great feature, and I’m sure it’s widely welcomed by all – easily on par with major improvements like giving Plats first pick of seats for free at the time of booking.

Also great to see that it was not an empty promise. Not that I expected an empty promise from him/FlyingBlue as I think the programme has overall developed in a positive way over the past years, but I’m sure Ben will understand that many other FFPs promise the moon to their most loyal customers (*cough* BA *cough*), only to then shoot a couple of nukes at it and laugh in their faces, so a healthy dose of scepticism is always warranted
