So, for my rental I have DW and SLI through the rental company. I also have personal travel insurance from my home country that covered medical costs and personal items. Aside from road assistance protection, am I missing anything else important that might have financial liability for me? I'm being super cautions here because Sixt in Scotland tried to blame me for some pre-existing damage, but thankfully I had photos to prove the damage was there at pick-up, but I'd like to avoid as much hassle as possible.
Did you book a "package" rate which includes the insurance coverages, or are you paying for those coverages separately? Some U.S. rental companies offer these package rates to Europeans who book the rental through the company's European website. Sometimes, the savings can be substantial.
