The below is copy & pasted from the QR portal.To get to the next tier or retain your tier, you must collect the required number of Qpoints and meet the following criteria:
1. Earn at least 20% of your Qpoints within a 12-month period on flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways.
2. Take at least four flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways within 12 months before tier upgrade or retention, or at least eight flights marketed and operated by Qatar Airways within 24 months before tier upgrade or retention.
There is a bit of contention on this forum on how to interpret this, but from what I’ve heard from both QR CS and some ground staff, one needs both. However, any qpoints earned on partners above the needed qpoints for tier renewal won’t count against the 20%. (Ex: for plat, you only need 108 qpoints on QR metal)
