I am European and I'm trying to figure out the various damage waiver options when renting.

In the U.S. does Damage Waiver include a deductible? In Europe, Damage Waiver often comes with an excess of between €1000 - €2000, so you are still liable for damages up to that value. The waiver is basically for anything above that value. Is the system in the U.S. the same, or does getting Damage Waiver in the US mean you are not liable for any damage / loss of use claims.

I'm specifically looking at Enterprise / Alamo / National. I checked their Terms and Conditions but cannot see anything about an excess / deductible but just want to double check here.
