Can anyone confirm this is still the case to update the passport, ie. you can email CBSA and update your passport information with a scan of NEXUS + new passport? Or is it required to visit an enrolment centre to get it done?
You don't need to visit an enrolment centre. Just update it on the website. It might be old language on the website or practices. But website updates both parties for sure, that's definitively been proven here multiple times including by me. Next time you go through the egate you'll need to upload your new passport biometric page so your photo can be updated with CBSA but that's about it.
